Designed to cater for good ‘old-fashioned’ family & friend vacations, Windsong Chalets offers guests spacious, well-lit outdoor entertainment areas with gorgeous ocean views and is merely a ‘stone’s throw’ from the beach! Our quaint town has a small superette store, where daily necessities and takeaways can be bought, accepts card payments for added convenience.

Outdoor Swimming Pool

Situated on the upper level of the building is a shared outdoor swimming pool area that enjoys the most magnificent views of the nearby beach. The pool area is fully paved allowing guests plenty of space to spread out towels and soak up the sunshine in between dips in the cool, crystal clear pool waters. Outdoor sunken table and benches at the end of the pool area overlooks the surrounding area and ocean beyond making this an ideal setting for light poolside lunches.

Games Room

The main building, just beyond the parking area and garden, houses the communal games room.

Here guests can enjoy a game of pool / snooker on one of the 2 pool tables, challenge each other to a round of darts (darts not supplied – please bring your own) or enjoy a game of table tennis while younger guests run around and play in the garden area.

There is also a bar fridge available to keep drinks cold as you enjoy great family & friends entertainment!

Ifafa Beach

‘Ifafa’ is Zulu for ‘place of sparkling waters’ and it becomes clear why when strolling along the local beach or simply taking in the breathtaking views! The tranquil atmosphere with beautifully warm waters, virtually untouched rock pools and a stunning tidal pool offer guests the perfect coastal retreat experience for a truly relaxed holiday. Schools of dolphins and pods of whales can also be seen seasonally frolicking quite close to shore. For the more active visitors, Ifafa Beach is popular for fishing, surfing, bodyboarding, canoeing and kayaking!

Fishing

One of the most popular activities enjoyed in Ifafa is fishing!

Shore angling, especially around the rocky river mouth, often produces a great catch with species such as Kob, Garrick, Blacktail and Shad frequently mentioned. The annual Sardine Run, usually in June / July, is an added attraction for experienced and novice fisherman (and their families!) when besides netting these tiny silver fish, there is the chance at catching the larger fish who chase them along the shoreline.

If shoreline fishing is not your scene, Ifafa also has 7 dams where bass fishing can be enjoyed. If you come unprepared, rods and boats can be hired for fishing expeditions and there is a plentiful supply of karanteen bait available.
